Pure are pleased to be exclusively recruiting a Group Financial Controller role for our long standing client based near North Chelmsford, Essex.

Our client are a high growth, investment backed business that has nearly doubled in size over the last three years.

The role reports directly to the CFO and will take full ownership of the consolidated group accounts, statutory accounts, treasury management, tax and other financial accounting requirements across the group.


Responsibilities:


  • Management of the Financial Reporting and Management Accounting teams.
  • Responsible for preparation and accuracy of the monthly consolidated accounts in conjunction with the FP&A team.
  • Management of the group's treasury including all control processes, policies, banking and relationships, hedging strategies, funding requirements, cashflow forecasting and monitoring of working capital.
  • Timely preparation and review of all HMRC requirements and annual Statutory Accounts.
  • Liaising with and reviewing the work of other members of the finance team and business units
  • Liaise with external advisors and auditors in the conduct of audits, reviews and investigations and act as necessary to introduce improvements to the financial accounting procedures and service.
  • Support any M&A activity including diligence, legal and contract review including post completion integration and review and agreement of completion accounts.
Experience needed

  • ACA/ACCA Qualified Accountant.
  • Able to tackle complex challenges whilst managing various business priorities and deadlines.
  • Advanced Excel skills required.
  • Ability to challenge management thinking and work in partnership to improve the business.
  • Able to work in a fastpaced organisation and respond to needs with urgency.
