Crewe
Contract to December 2023
£300 per day Outside IR35
My client is the world's leading manufacturer of luxury cars founded in 1919.
Based in the UK the company employs more than 4000 people around the world, who design, engineer, hand-build and market their cars.
They are looking for a Project Manager to jointhe team on an initial contract to December 2023 with the possibility of extension.
The position is based at their Crewe offices with working hours of Monday to Thursday 8am - 5pm and Friday 8am to 12noon, although they are office based the majority of theweek they are open to a flexible hybrid working pattern.
Working as part of the Research and Development Team you will be involved in the development and deployment of all prototype vehicles from pre service to market entry development.
Key tasks include:
- Full process ownership and KPI management of Vehicle Usage Planning.
- Timely and transparent escalation of risks and issues to resolution
- Working with R&D Platform Leader and Platform integration Manager and R&D Directors to ensure Vehicle usage plan approval is at the required PEP gateways to minimum cost and time requirements
- Working with future program vehicle validation requirements consolidation, optimisation and approval
- Managing budgets for new projects and change content to current projects
- Direct and monitor the delivery of defined projects, ensuring vehicles are commissioned on time to correct condition
- Monitoring and escalation of risks and opportunities of each project
- Planning and monitoring of internal and PEP deliverables for each project
- Direct and deliver improvement projects steering to optimised Fleet processes supporting EG and Ex process partners
- Support EG workshop build optimisation
Skills and Expertise
- Working within the automotive industry is ideal although would consider expertise in a similar field
- Technical comprehension of Preseries Vehicle Systems content and test / validation
- Working with engineers and an comprehension of the terminology used.
- Building strong collaborative and influential relationships with a broad range of stakeholders with the ability to challenge functions and users.
- Confident communicator with the ability to present project status at levels throughout R & D.
- Examples of working at pace in a project management environment
- Ability to deliver multiple projects concurrently and to delegate vehicle usage planning tasks
- Proven expertise of delivering improvement projects leading
