JOB TITLE:
Kitchen Assistant

ACCOUNTABLE TO:
Head Cook / Chef

THE ROLE:

You will be working as part of a small team within the Kitchen to aid the team in the effective running of the Kitchen.

This role is mainly as a washing dishes, assisting with food preparation and more.

The Shifts will be 0900am to 1800pm, there will be a minimum of two shifts per week on offer over a 7 day Rota, so this will include weekend, public and bank holidays as well as the festive season.

Cover for holidays and sickness will be expected

RESPONSIBILITIES:

To contribute to a happy atmosphere in the home
To prepare vegetables and other foodstuffs and beverages as directed by the Head Cook / Chef, Assistant Cook
To wash dishes and kitchen utensils.
To operate kitchen equipment as required.
To perform all tasks in accordance with required Food Safety Standards Regulations and Procedures.
To ensure that the kitchen and food storage areas are clean and tidy as per daily cleaning routine and the Home's cleaning schedule.
To participate in staff training and staff meetings as required.
To undertake other duties, as necessary.
