The Commercial Litigation Assistant is responsible for the receipt of the initial instructions and initial matter creation and associated assurance checks to support risk assessmentPrimary Duties
- Logging Client's signed Forms of Authority and Completed Questionnaire on the Case Management System
- Action BEIS Response on the Case Management System and/or checking for Guarantee
- Requesting and logging required documentation from the Client
- Carrying out Welcome Call with Client
- Rearranging Client Appointments
- Updating Guarantee Provider information on our Case Management System and requesting Guarantee
- Requesting information from Estate Agents and placing onto our Case Management System
- Requesting information from Conveyancing Solicitors and placing onto our Case Management System
- Logging and recording Guarantee documents on our Case Management System
- Requesting OFGEM Information
- All necessary calls and correspondence with the Client and third parties in the initial stages of the Client's claims
Attributes & Competencies Required
- Required_
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact confidently with both staff and members of the public
- English GCSE (grade 91, A-C or Key Skills Level 2 or equivalent)
- Proven ability to plan, manage and prioritise workloads
- Flexible approach to working as some evening and weekend work might be required to meet the Client's needs
- Capability to undertake all assignments in a timely manner
- Desirable_
- Knowledge of the Limitation Act 1980
- Knowledge of GDPR and Data Protection
