The Opportunity;

The Head of ER role is an exciting opportunity to work closely with the Head of People Services, where you will be responsible for overseeing Employee Relations cases, mitigating risk and supporting with the development of manager capability.

This is a 6 monthFixed Term Contract opportunity due to an internal secondment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Overseeing ER cases, such as grievance, disciplinary, EDI, etc, and mitigating risk
  • Informal cases; ensuring quality through proactive review, and identifying and addressing any additional training needs to further strengthen manager capability
  • Formal cases; conducting investigations, dealing with employment tribunal claims, preparation and hearings
  • Assessing and managing KPIs and metrics, and producing and presenting reports and presentations to exec level stakeholders
Working hours are Monday - Friday 9am-5pm, with some flexibility.

Visibility is important in this role and so you will be predominantly onsite, however there is potential to work from home 1-2 days per week.

Salary Band 8a; £46,526 - £56,619 depending onexperience.

The Person;
The ideal Head of ER will have significant Employee Relations experience, including disciplinary, grievance, EDI, absence, etc.
You will have a strong understanding and experience of employment law, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
