IT Support Analyst

Location:
Aberdeen (Hybrid Working)


Salary:
£21k - £25k + Pension + Life Assurance + Healthcare + 33days Holidays + Other benefits


The Client:

Our client is a leading provider of data science and predictive analysis services for the oil and gas industry.

The company work closely with oil and gas operating companies as a remote extension of their asset teams; helping them to solve complex problems,improve efficiency, reduce costs and mitigate risks by making better use of their operational data.


The Role:


The
IT Support Analyst is responsible for providing technical support to the team by troubleshooting software problems, configuring and maintaining systems, and providing training and guidance to users.

The role requires a high level of technicalexpertise and customer service skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with a team of data scientists and other IT staff.


Requirements:


  • Be qualified on or above HND in Technical Support / Information Technology or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in IT support
  • Strong technical expertise in data science tools and software such as Python, R, Jupyter, SQL, Git, and cloud computing platforms

Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Provide technical support to endusers and customers for a specific product
  • Work as part of internal data science team
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software issues, and provide training and guidance to users
  • Document and escalate issues to higherlevel support teams as needed.
  • Continuously improve the support process by monitoring and analysing metrics.
  • Participate in testing of new products and features.

Personal Specification:


  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Successful experience of teamworking
  • AI / Machine learning advantageous
  • Proficient in Python and R (other programming languages beneficial)
  • Working experience in charting and data visualisation packages
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.

The IT Support Analyst will be responsible for ensuring that end-users and customers have the necessary tools andresources to be successful in their work, and will play a key role in the continued growth and success of the company.

The ability to work with data science team will be an added advantage in this role.
