Eden Brown are seeking an experience Contracts & Maintenance Manager for a Further Education College in West Yorkshire.
As the Contracts & Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for the operation of all planned and reactive maintenance activities to keep the College running efficiently and safely.
Other duties include the management and development of all direct staff,key contracts and contractors.Duties to include:
- Efficient and effective maintenance of the estates buildings and services to facilitate the operational needs of the college.
- To be responsible for the daytoday management and operation of the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering team and key contractors to ensure all works are being carried out to the correct standard of customer care and quality.
- To monitor and control the building management systems to ensure efficient running of the M&E systems whilst providing excellent learning environments for our staff and students.
- Responsible for managing and supporting procurement of all key contracts including utilities supplies
- Responsible for ensuring statutory checks and inspections are carried out on services and equipment
- Provide cost reports and cost estimates to assist the Estates & Facilities team in preparing annual maintenance budgets.
- Prepare contract documentation for maintenance projects, including term contracts and develop standards for such documentation to meet current regulations and best practices.
- Project and financial management of designated projects, ensuring that tendering and contract documentation are in accordance with the College's financial regulations and purchasing procedures.
- Assist in the development of schedules for major and minor capital works.
- Ensure effective supervision and control of repairs and maintenance works to all College premises, ensuring that contractors follow the requirements of the Control of Contractor's Policy.
