Our client based in the Widnes area is looking for a bookkeeper to join their team in a standalone position.

It is a fully office-based job due to the work environment and nature of the business.


Job description for Bookkeeper

  • Processing supplier /expense invoices and paying them.
  • Raising debit notes where necessary.
  • Daily bank statements and reconciliations.
  • Monthly payroll coordination.
  • Purchase ledger/sales ledger control.
  • Preparation of monthly accounts.
  • Fortnightly and month end sales figures for MD. Prepare VAT, Intrastat and EU sales returns.
  • Keeping ledgers up to date.
  • Communication with colleagues, suppliers and customers, both over the phone and written.
  • Any adhoc duties across the team.

Job skills required for Bookkeeper

  • Able to commute to Ditton Road, Widnes
  • Sage Line 50 experience.
  • Good organisational and communication skills.
  • Selfmotivated and disciplined.
  • AAT qualified or QBE equivalent.
