HR Assistant:
Available for immediate start - we're looking for an experienced recruiter to join this friendly fast paced business.
You'll need to have minimum one years experience working in retail recruitment, you'll be working with various stakeholders across the business so strong communication skills are key.
Recruitment & Selection
- Screen CVs conduct telephone interviews and hold first stage interviews.
- Support recruitment for new store openings including facilitating assessment centres, travelling around the UK when necessary.
- Support the UK onboarding and inductions for all new hires
- Support the HR team in the annual review of retail job descriptions and responsibilities to ensure they are reflective of the roles being carried out.
- Utilise, update, and respond to feedback through recruitment platforms for example Glassdoor/indeed
- Regularly updating the Hamleys LinkedIn page to promote our brand and advertise roles when necessary.
- Supporting the Head of HR to review and develop recruitment strategy
- Work to deliver against KPIs of time to hire
- Build and maintain external relationships with recruiters/shopping centre job boards
- Ordering name badges and uniforms for new store openings
- Administer general HR related documentation including new employee offer letters, contracts, joining packs, change letters, employment references, security pass referencing, letters of concern, meeting invite letters, probationary review letters, maternity/paternity etc.
- Ad hoc HR duties as required by the wider HR department including but not limited to letters of concern, meeting invite letters, probationary review letters, maternity/paternity etc.
Onboarding / Inductions
- Support retail management to effectively onboard their new staff by maintaining the HR templates Store Drive with guidance and the most uptodate documentation.
- Support retail managers with sending out and creating new starter documentation and ensure that correctly completed copies are returned prior to commencing employment.
- Organise/Conduct HR Induction meetings for all new retail management to ensure that they're trained on all the necessary information to carry out their role and manage their staff.
Employee Engagement / Well-being
- Oversee the exit interview process to ensure feedback is received.
- Improve the exit interview process in order to improve the accuracy of data.
- Maintain the Exit Interview tracker and use to collate any themes.
- Offer suggestions and solutions to any common themes identified through the feedback received.
