This awarded winning gastro pub, currently listed number 5 in the Estrella Damm Top 50 Gastro Pubs is looking for a sous chef to join our expanding team.

Owned by brothers, we hold various accolades including two AA Rosettes, Muddy Stiletto winner for best destination pub and was awarded with a Bib Gourmand by the highly respected Michelin guide in 2021.

More recently we have been voted #5 in the Estrella DammTop 50 GastroPubs awards.

We have assembled a great professional team focusing on delivering the best of local food and complemented by a specially selected range of wines, beers and spirits.

You will be assured of a warm welcome in delightful stylish surroundingswith wonderful food and service.
We are open Wednesday to Sunday offering food throughout the pub. Lunch is available from 12pm-2:30pm Wednesday to Saturday and 12pm-4pm on Sundays. Dinner is available Wednesday to Saturday from 5:45pm-9:30pm.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Direct food preparation and collaborates with Head Chef
  • Help in the design of food and drink menu
  • Produce high quality plates, including both design and taste
  • Oversee and supervise kitchen staff
  • Assist with menu planning, inventory, and management of supplies
  • Ensure that food is top quality and that kitchen is in good condition
  • Keeps stations clean and complies with food safety standards
  • Offers suggestions and creative ideas that can improve upon the kitchen's performance
  • Schedule staff shifts
  • Assist with training new employees
  • Order food supplies
  • Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment
  • Solves problems that may arise and seizes control of issues in the kitchen

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • GCSE, BTEC or equivalent
