The role will work alongside a team of Admins within GMAP, Global Market Access and Pricing and the broader Biopharmaceuticals Business Unit, so there is in place a great support network for the role.

Main responsibilities:


  • Extensive diary management with ability to seamlessly prioritise; working with other stakeholders where necessary to resolve conflicts and scheduling across multiple time zones using company technology ie MS Teams and Zoom
  • Proactive planning of travel arrangements and processing expense claims in line with compliance policy limits, using Concur
  • Assist the team with set up of virtual, f2f and hybrid meetings and events, from implementation to support at the event (where necessary)
  • Work with the team to ensure their projects are correctly entered onto the system for contracting projects, ensuring statement of work and budgeting is in line with purchase order requirements. Work with the BBU Requisition Center and Finance Direct for any financial administration queries eg invoice and budgeting and being confident in the use of our p2p cloud system, Coupa
  • Effectively coordinate and collaborate with other assistants within AstraZeneca on crossfunctional and crossorganisational meetings / events / processes
  • Other general administrative tasks/projects as required
For GPI (Global Pricing Implementation Team) there are three specific area of support:

  • Onboarding of new staff and setting up all the necessary meetings, training, resources, access to information (although this is probably general)
  • Supporting pricing committees, that is booking the meetings, managing attendees, taking minutes and circulating minutes (this is a repeated senior level meeting)
  • Price certificates: work collaborate with her/his oncology counterpart PA (they should back each other up during vacations for example) manage, organize, validate price certificates and ensure they are completed in a timely manner

Essential skills/experience:

You should have demonstrated advanced proficiency across a broad range of administrative processes, procedures and project management experience.

  • Proven experience of providing full PA/administrative support to senior leaders
  • Ability to think beyond boundaries of own job, challenge status quo and seek opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Excellent team working, networking and influencing skills with ability to engage relevant AstraZeneca staff and leaders at all levels
  • Excellent organisational skills with an ability to prioritise workload, plan ahead and multitask
  • Good time management, proactivity, flexibility and attention to detail working to the highest standards of accuracy and presentation
  • Goals and solution oriented, demonstrating initiative and proactivity in the provision of support provided
  • Assertiveness and strong personal resilience
  • Confident and experienced user of Microsoft Office, online cloud storage ie SharePoint and Box, as well as MS Teams and Zoom for meetings
  • Numerate and accurate
  • High level of confidentiality and discretion
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
