Purpose
The position will support the leadership of the EMEA Exchange Traded Derivatives team. ETD Operations supports the firm's house and client trading across a broad range of listed futures and options. The group has interactions with multiple business units andis responsible for clearing and settlement of all ETD business Trade Management ("TMG")

Background
This is an exciting opportunity to join an established and fast paced team within the Belfast site.

Futures, Clearing and FX Prime Brokerage (FCX) Operations manage all aspects of ETD and OTC products including trade management and clearing, break remediation, reconciliations and treasury.

Our key interactions involve liaising with exchanges, brokers andcounterparties including banks, pension funds, national governments, insurance companies and hedge funds located in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

This role is within Operations, specific to ETD clearing and supports trade clearing within EMEA FCX Operations.
EMEA FCX Operations has staff located in London, Belfast and Tampa.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversight and supervisory accountability, managing clearing and internal books and records exceptions
Lead and develop direct reports, providing effective guidance to the team in their daytoday processes and wider career development within Citi
Participate in documentation of business requirements and testing of new processes, systems roll outs and UAT for strategic projects both internal and external
Act as the initial escalation point within the team, and effectively manage any further escalation per the escalation policy
Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the team, proactively identifying new issues/ risks, either potential or realised, and leading the mitigation planning
In partnership with the Business and Client Executives manage the onboarding of new Clients ensuring a first class experience particularly in the position transfer/porting process
Effectively manage Key person dependencies, training gaps and hiring within the team
Build credibility and trust with regional partners, senior managers and clients, both internal and external. Seek opportunities to enhance the current team through technological and process reengineering. Continually engage with global operating partnersto create consensus and
Build upon the existing control framework to improve, where possible, and in response to industry changes.

Knowledge/Experience:

Experience of having worked within a fast paced team within an investment bank/ or similar environment
Futures & Options product experience beneficial
Displays a welldeveloped ability to schedule work and understand relative priorities.
Building positive working relationships and working with team members to understand the root cause of an issue in a timely and effective manner.
Appreciation of the many different types of risk
Experience handling ambiguous tasks

Skills:

Desired

Experience with Exchange traded derivatives (ETD)

Experience with GMI or another Books & Record system
Good Microsoft skills including Excel, Word and Outlook
Ability to communicate effectively facilitating interaction with clients, own team and operations management. Ability to detail issues, in writing, in a clear, accurate and concise manner.
Analytical and Numerate proven ability to research and identify large and complex issues
Demonstrates sound judgement and professionalism in decision making/problem solving, escalating to supervisor as appropriate
