An excellent opportunity has arisen for 2 experienced physiotherapy support workers to join the physiotherapy team within University Hospital Llandough.
The Orthopaedic Team is a vibrant team of enthusiastic staff, all looking to improve the support given to people undergoing surgery.
This post holder will be required to work a 7-day job plan to support the delivery of a 7-day Physiotherapy services.
Both successful applicants will work alongside the qualified physiotherapists providing specialised rehabilitation. As part of your work, you will be delegated treatment programmes to carry out with patients. This may include supervising post-operative mobility and supervising exercise-based rehabilitation for both individuals and groups. You will be expected to progress these within set guidelines.Your role will also include administrative tasks and contributing to the general running of the Physiotherapy Department.
You may also be required to support other physio teams depending on service priorities, and within ECAS you may be required to carry out community visits.
It is important that you are a team player with a positive outlook, adaptable to change, showing enthusiasm and ability to learn and develop new skills.
Previous experience of both rehabilitation in a hospital setting and classwork would be advantageous. This post may include aspects of personal care.We value and encourage all team members to be actively involved with offering ideas for improvement.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
