Description

A Commercial Grounds Maintenance company are looking to recruit an experienced Hard and Soft Landscaper to join them on a full time permanent basis.

Based at their depot in Leyland, Lancashire applicants will be required to complete a range of different landscaping tasks in and around the North West.


Duties:


  • Brickwork
  • Block paving
  • Decking
  • Slabbing
  • Able to work from plans
  • Complete site specific risk assessments for each job
  • Speaking with clients on a daily basis
  • Working to tight deadlines and within budget
  • Bespoke designs
  • Compliance with company H&S policies and guidance
  • Able to train and supervise staff as required
  • To monitor/record the condition of vehicles and equipment used and to follow company procedures when reporting damage, wear or neglect
  • Knowledge of irrigation would be desirable


Applicants will need to be organised and capable of working on their own initiative to carry out both hard and soft landscaping works.

You will be responsible for managing any project works from start through to completion, so time management skills are essential as you will be working to tight deadlines.

Applicants will need to complete all duties given to mandatory quality standards.


Your usual hours of work during the season (March to October) will be Monday to Friday 6.30am till 4.00pm (8.5 hours per day start and finish time may be adjusted), and Monday to Friday 8.00am till 4.00pm (7 hours) out of season.

The opportunity to develop and progress within the company will be available once a probationary period is completed


Experience/Skills:


  • Full clean driving licence
  • CSCS Card
  • Landscaping experience
  • Good general knowledge of methods and materials used within the industry

Salary:
£24,960.00-£31,200.00 per year
