What You Need to KnowAssist the production team in developing production schedules, preparing and presenting planning information for sales & projects. Monitor and update production schedules through cycle from contract award to delivery, reflecting the smooth interface of all sales/production activities in relation to the agreed delivery time frame


What We Are Looking For

Some of the Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with Procurement for production execution activities, including raising purchase orders
  • Daily review of Scheduled Work Orders and reserving items to BOM's when available
  • Creation of Work Orders where required
  • Assist with effective delivery of all activities within the production plan and agreed schedule dates and priorities.
  • Assist with reporting planned production work versus actual work achieved on weekly basis.
  • Provide Proposals with lead times for quotations, based on overall resource capacity.
  • Carry out contract reviews on new sales orders ensuring parts / equipment are in stock or manufactured / assembled accordingly.
  • Ensure Manufacture Execution Systems (MES) is being updated & reviewed daily to ensure production times are being adhered to, report on variances
  • Ensure the maintenance of machinery within the machine shop is done within the scheduled time scale and folders updated continually for audit purposes
  • Arrange contractors for any requirements not within the Facilities Departments remit
  • Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Management within the timeframe specified in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deem competent to fulfil these.

Skills & Experience
Essential

  • A minimum of five National 5 grades (or equivalent) including Administration & IT or Business
  • Proven Experience of Planning/Scheduling
years previous experience in a similar role, preferably in an oil and gas environment.

  • Proven Experience of Planning/Scheduling
  • Proactive and effective team player.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages
Preferred

  • SQA Higher level English and Maths at C or above (or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft AX Dynamics
  • Oil & Gas experience in a project deliver capacity
