Your New Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent
NRSWA Coordinator to join us to join our
NMC SW account in
Glasgow / Central Scotland.
This role begins on-site, and after training, we're open to a hybrid working arrangement, with the flexibility to operate from various Amey offices.
Amey is working in partnership with Transport Scotland Southwest since August 2020, the
NMC SW account are the driving force behind inspections, cyclical maintenance, asset management, scheme delivery as well as winter maintenance and incident response.
Our dedicated team are first on the scene to assist road users on the network, deliver engineering design and operational delivery services for more than 600 kilometres of road and 1,650 structures.
By ensuring our roads and highways are well-maintained through all-weather seasons and traffic incidents, we aim to create well-functioning, safe spaces which minimise disruption, keep people moving and support thriving communities.
NRSWA Coordinator plays a crucial part in supporting the Operational Teams and Journey Time Reliability Coordinator, working to minimise disruption to the travelling public by expertly managing road space allocation and coordination of all works.
The standard hours of work are 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:45
Your responsibilities are to:
- Manage the Traffic Scotland CMS system, ensuring it meets all contract requirements.
- Keep the Scottish Road Works Register uptodate and in compliance with legal and contractual requirements.
- Address road space inquiries from Statutory Undertakers, Third Parties, and Local Authorities.
- Create programs of works and reports for meetings, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
- Coordinate with utilities and others proposing works on the network to ensure compliance with codes of practice and legal requirements.
- Stay connected with the road works community through participation in relevant local and area Roads Authority and Utility Committee Meetings (RAUCS).
- Issue, log, monitor and maintain inspections according to the Code of Practice for Inspections
- Attend meetings with the client, Local Highway Authorities, Statutory Undertakers, and Third Parties.
- Work towards achieving KPI targets.
- Update and submit infrastructure plans or underground apparatus for the VAULT system.
We are looking for
experience or knowledge with the Scottish Roadworks Register to be considered, and it would be
desirable if you have previously used the
Traffic Scotland CMS, to help you hit the ground running, although this is not essential as we will provide you with the required development you need to bring you up to speed.
