We are recruiting for a Medical Secretary who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.


A part of this role will also be responsible for 1 consultant support in all aspects of their Community paediatrics role and/or provide support for the consultants and admin team where a consultant is not allocated.

We are looking for a highly motivated, professional and enthusiastic individual to work within our division.


You should have a sound knowledge of medical terminology and have the ability to work without direct supervision, be able to prioritise and manage workloads.

The applicant must be computer literate and have excellent written and verbal English skills due to the nature of the job requirements.


You will be the first point of contact for GPs, consultant colleagues, nursing, admin and other hospital staff, patients, relatives and outside agencies.

You must be a team player. You will provide professional and efficient secretarial and administrative support to the consultants and medical team.

Please note there isno onsiteparking for staff due to restricted placements at this site unless you fall within the criteria for the trust car parking system via salary sacrifice

Cross cover is also required for the SEN administrator for the North team when required.

To provide professional and efficient secretarial and administrative support to the Consultant and medical team.


Be the first point of contact and communication for HCT, General Practitioners, consultant colleagues, nursing staff, administrative and other hospital staff, patients, relatives and outside agencies.

To help organise division specific clinics and liaise with outside agencies to achieve this.

To undertake these duties without direct supervision, working within broad procedural guidelines and duties consummate with pay grade
