The Best Connection are currently recruiting for a Permanent Furnace Operative for our valued client based in the wv14 area of Wolverhampton.

Salary
£35,864 to £36,865

Hours
Working on a 3-shift rotation basis of 8.25hrs per day

(5.30am-13.45pm, 13.30pm-21.45pm, & 21.30pm-5.45am).

Main Functional Responsibilities

To maintain the smooth running of the refining furnace, duties will involve Charging furnace, Slagging off furnace, Chemical additions during refining and control room activities during casting
To be able to work on all parts of the refiner as and when required.
To assist in the data recording in all aspects of cast production (some computer input will be required.)
To work to the highest levels of Health and Safety and Environmental Standards at all times.
To provide additional support and/or temporary replacement of appropriate production personnel.
Flexible approach and willingness to learn. Ability to work within the team but equally to motivate and focus the team on achievement results.
To carry out such other responsibilities as may be reasonably required.
To be aware of the internal procedures for waste segregation
To ensure compliance to the highest level of Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Standards.
To understand the requirements of the Duty of Care regulation for waste management and to understand the importance of satisfactory completing the waste transfer documentation.
To be aware of the internal procedures for waste segregation

Appropriate measuring / test sampling equipment
Such other tools and equipment, relevant to role responsibilities.
