This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a specialist team delivering a service for adults with neuro-diverse presentations, specifically Autism (Autistic Spectrum Disorder, ASD) and Attention Deficit with Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

This post forms part of an expanding service provision across the five boroughs of North London Partnership.

The post-holder will work as part of a small by expanding team comprising psychiatrists, psychologists, clinical practitioners, assistant psychologist, and administrators.


We are seeking an individual who has a particular interest in working with adults with neurodevelopmental disorders and who is keen to develop their skills in this area.


The post holder will support and enhance the psychological care of clients within the Adult Autism Diagnostic & Consultation Service and Adult ADHD Clinic.

They main role of the assistant psychologist will be to support the team with referral screening and diagnostic assessments, under the supervision of a clinical psychologist.

The post holder will be trained to conduct informant report interviews to contribute to the diagnostic process, as well as support clinicians with other aspects of the diagnostic assessments.

Additionally there will be opportunities to support with psychological assessment and intervention, including co-facilitating group workshops, within the Adult ADHD Clinic.


This is an exciting time to join our autism diagnostic team as we expand to cover the five North Central London Boroughs of Camden, Islington, Barnet, Enfield & Haringey.

With newly increased funding for both our autism and ADHD services, we aim to improve the service we provide and decrease wait times.


There are opportunities for remote working, but around half of the time worked would need to be in clinic, currently based at St Pancras Hospital.


The post holder will support and enhance the psychological care of clients within the Adult Autism Diagnostic & Consultation Service and Adult ADHD Clinic.

They main role of the assistant psychologist will be to support the team with referral screening and diagnostic assessments, under the supervision of a clinical psychologist.

The post holder will be trained to conduct informant report interviews to contribute to the diagnostic process, as well as support clinicians with other aspects of the diagnostic assessments.

Additionally there will be opportunities to support with psychological assessment and intervention, including co-facilitating group workshops, within the Adult ADHD Clinic.


The post holder will also contribute to clinically relevant administration such as responding to enquiries, liaising with service users, and booking appointments.

They will attend and contribute to multi-disciplinary team meetings on a weekly basis.

They may also work on designated projects within the overall framework of the team's policies and procedures, including conducting audits and service evaluations.
