CIB London Finance is a key partner and advisor to all businesses and support functions with activity booked in London and has specific responsibility for:
- Delivering accurate Group and UK Financial and Regulatory Reporting in compliance with Group accounting norms
- Decision support through business performance reporting, analysis, forecasts & budgets.
- Tax advisory for UK businesses and compliance with UK tax rules.
- Managing the relationship with key external contacts on Finance topics (auditors, regulators, tax authorities etc).
Job Purpose & Scope
This role is within the UK Regulatory Reporting team and reports to the line manager of the team.
The key focus of the role is the responsibility for Statistical Reporting to the Bank of England for BNP Paribas London Branch.
Key Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of the role is to ensure all Statistical Reporting submitted to the Bank of England (BoE) is accurate and to the agreed reporting timetable.
- Publication of accurate statistical report (including BT and supplementary returns, ELS, PL, AS, ER, DQ), compliant with all current statistical reporting rules and definitions.
- Publication of accurate FCA reporting, FSA029, FSA030 and MIFID returns (MFID001 to MIFID004) compliant with all current statistical reporting rules and definitions.
- Delivery all reporting to published deadlines,
- Follow reporting production procedures accurately and timely
- Perform critical review of the reporting and present analysis to management prior to submission.
- Escalate timely important matters to allow impact assessment on the reporting
- Respond to BoE queries regarding submitted returns
- Keep up to date with Statistical Reporting changes and communicate relevant impact to management.
- Communicate with business analysts and IT development team on software upgrades and new release on reporting changes and reporting implications.
- Adhoc tasks as request by Line manager
The Requirements
Knowledge
- Statistical reports detailed knowledge of the reporting requirements for BT and supplementary returns, ELS, PL, AS, ER, DQ.
- FCA reporting, FSA029, FSA030 and MIFID returns (MFID001 to MIFID004).
- Understanding of the expectations of the BoE when reporting statistical returns
- Familiar with using BoE reporting tools
- Understanding the requirement of a strong reporting control environment
- Detailed knowledge of Investment Banking business and products
- Detailed excel knowledge to work efficiently with large volumes of data and advanced excel functions
- Understand the use of regulatory software tools ideally Wolters Kluwer reporting.
Skill
- Able to prepare statistical reports using automated reporting tools
- Experienced in the production of timely accurate statistical report
- Excellent planning, prioritisation and organisational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Qualifications:
- Accounting qualification is preferred (e.g. ACA / ACCA/ CIMA)
- Qualified by experience
