Specific Roles & Responsibilities
The Interface Lead will report to the Environmental Manager on the project and will have the following responsibilities:


  • Interface between Worley's engineering design and construction teams and AA permitting;
  • Coordination of environmental permitting support activities and continuous interface with AA;
  • Scoping additional studies required for permitting
  • Oversee additional studies required for permitting and review/ sign off permitting documentation
  • Input into Project schedule related to permitting
  • Oversee compliance of the design teams to commitments, constraints and controls of engineering designs
  • Where full compliance can't be achieved impact on permit is flagged
  • Input into procurement of specialist studies for permitting
:

RFP/ITT, proposal review, review of deliverables

  • Management the inhouse SMEs to deliver support to permitting scopes.

Qualifications and Key Person Specifications
Position Specific:


  • BSc or MSc in environmental sciences
  • Uk permitting experience, 10+ years of practical experience
  • Deep knowledge of the UK environmental management legal and regulatory framework, mining regs
  • Ability to understand and explain all project environmental permitting requirements
  • Effective communication and interaction with construction crews in the field and management teams.
  • Concise report writing on a daily basis.
General Project - Essential:


  • Excellent communications skills
  • Ability to use MS Office (word, excel, Outlook, Power point) competently
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Analytical and problemsolving skills
  • High level of safety awareness
