Description
Would you like to join a small, but growing, exceptionally brilliant team who place relationships at the centre of everything we do? Are you passionate about ensuring that first-class learning support, and a great customer experience, is delivered to all managers and leaders who are enrolled on our ILM Award Programmes?

Impellus is a well-respected provider of business and organisational performance training and qualifications.

We've trained people at over 8,000 different organisations over the last twelve years with well over 1,000 currently working with us and we're growing quickly too.

Our mission is to challenge key individuals to deliver real and immediate organisational improvements.

What you'll be doing
You'll be responsible for the marking of learners' assignments and coursework in line with ILM standards.

You'll be their first-line point of contact too, providing them with help and support for the duration of their qualifications.

The role also incorporates a quality assurance aspect, with responsibility for planning and preparing regular internal quality assurance activities.

What your day-to-day work will look like

  • Assessing learners' written assignments in line with standards set by the Awarding Body
  • Providing friendly and insightful support and feedback on learners' assignments, using a variety of communication channels
  • Responsible for managing your own cases of learners daily; effectively use a case queuing system to manage workload and communicate with learners
  • Complete all required ILM Administration for your allocated learners such as registering them for the Award and entering results via the Walled Garden (City and Guild's website)
  • Take part in monthly Internal Quality Assurance activities with the Assessment Team Manager
  • Be prepared to support other assessors at times of high workload, or absence
  • Offer ideas and suggestions for continuous improvement in relation to the way the Assessment team works, and the ILM support services we offer

What we need you to bring to the team

You'll need to be very organised, articulate, and reliable with a keen desire to provide a high-level of cooperation within a small but growing team.

You'll need to be professional, assertive, friendly, and motivated by helping the company to provide great service efficiently and consistently.

You'll instantly be an important part of the team and critical to our success and growth. Previous experience of assessing ILM Level 3 Award is desirable. Previous experience in an educational role would be an advantage.

What we will offer in return

  • A decent salary
  • The opportunity to develop your career; a £1,000 annual training allowance
  • A fully paid halfday off every third Friday (noncontractual)
  • 25 days holidays per annum plus all bank holidays; 1day annual leave for each year of service (maximum of 30 days)
  • Regular social events paid for by the company
  • Employee Assistance Programme.

Please note_: whilst the role is mainly remote working, you will be required to commute to St Albans every Monday morning for a team meeting at 9am. Therefore, you must live within easy commutable distance to St Albans_.
