Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Purchaser to join our Client. As a Purchaser, you will be responsible for sourcing and procuring materials, supplies, and equipment necessary for our operations.

Your role will involve negotiating with suppliers, managing logistics, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods throughout our supply chain.

Duties:

Source and select suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery capabilities
Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure favourable pricing and payment terms
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine purchasing needs and specifications
Monitor inventory levels and place orders in a timely manner to maintain adequate stock levels
Track shipments and coordinate logistics to ensure timely delivery of goods
Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and stay updated on industry trends
Evaluate supplier performance and address any issues or concerns that may arise
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information in our Oracle EBS system

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Purchaser or in a similar procurement role
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favourable terms and pricing
Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
Strong analytical skills to evaluate supplier performance and market trends
Ability to work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams
