Our client is a Top-50 accountancy practice, based in the South West. They now have an opportunity for anAccounts Department Manager to join their team, providing a range of internal financial processes and reporting, as well as leading the accountsteam itself.

About the role

This role would suit a capable and experienced professional, looking to take a managerial position in a predominantly remote-working role.

Reporting to the Finance Director, the Accounts Department Manager will be responsible for the production of a numberof reporting obligations, as well as supporting the firm's development of ideas for further progress.

Key aspects of the role include:

Managing the internal accounts team;
Leading on the production of monthly KPI reporting and management accounts;
Undertaking internal payroll, cashflow and forecasting work for the firm;
Supporting the production of the annual financial statements and VAT returns for the firm;
Supporting ongoing financial reviews, performance and opportunities for the business.

The ideal person

The person will be resilient and able to work across multiple tasks independently. They will be organised and have experience of leading a team and coaching junior staff.
