Machine Operative required to start immediately

Do you have experience as a machine Operative ? are you wanting a new challenge?


Our client is looking to recruit a Machine Operative on a temp to perm position based in Bolton who are a manufacturer of straws.


A great opportunity for the right individual to earn a permanent contract, who has a good work ethic, is reliable and punctual.


The work will involve:


  • Operating Slitting Machines Primarily
  • Setting and adjusting Machines
  • Feeding in raw materials
  • Performing minor repairs or maintenance as needed
  • End of line packing and movement of goods to despatch area
  • Maintaining a safe and clean working environment

The working times and pay:


  • Shift Patterns 14:00 22:00 or 22:00 06:00
  • 4 weeks training provided on machines 06:00 14:00 shift
- £10.42 per hour

  • 12 week temp to perm basis

Skills/Experience Needed:


  • Machine operating experience on fast moving machinery with basic technical knowledge for maintenance and quality checking
  • Experience setting, adjusting and performing basic maintenance
  • Experience in core winding machinery or paper slitting machinery would be an advantage.
