A fantastic opportunity for H&S orientated Production Supervisor in a thriving local manufacturer with solid growth plans. This is a technical role most suited to a leader from within the joinery industry who understands production methods, putting H&S at the forefront of business


Duties of the Production Shift Supervisor include:

Having full responsibility for all shift QHSE on the shop floor and relevant documentation, including COSH, risk assessments and SOPs.

Implementing current Environmental and Health & Safety Policy as well as introducing changes required highlighted through QHSE monitoring.


Supervising an all shift personnel including the control of flow and work in progress in line with the production plan.

Organising the production area to meet the 10-day plan ensuring the next day's WIP is ready for the finishing team the following day, ensuring that planning is updated daily and an appropriate in-depth handover is left for any oncoming supervisor.

Liaising frequently with Warehouse Manager to update on order status to achieve delivery plan, monitoring and reporting on targets and maintaining the shop floor skills matrix and all shop floor training records

As well as a background in manufacturing, the Production Shift Supervisor, is expected to:
Be IOSH qualified with experience of implementing policies and procedures

Have excellent people management capabilities, able to confidently manage a production team

Possess excellent IT skills, preferably with working knowledge of Excel

And have a good sense of humour, able to lead with energy and positivity

Salary:
Of up to £37k depending on skills, abilities and experiences


Great day shift hours: 8am to 4.30pm Mon - Thurs, finishing at 3.30pm on Fridays, but this position is one of responsibility and may require some flexibility depending on work load


Holidays: 29 days per year (21+8), increases over time to
