Location:
Solent Court, Reading


Fixed Term contract up to 30st April 2023

Part-Time 30 hours per week
**Salary: £26,341 - £27,200 pro rata

Move On Project Officer needed for Solent Court in Reading to assist customers making arrangements for alternative accommodation due to the sale of the property.


The difference you'll make


You will be p roviding practical support and information to clients, e.g., assisting clients in placing bids through Home choice, liaising with council accredited landlords, accompanying clients on viewings of potential new homes, the completion of tenancy agreements, welfare benefit claims, claiming homeloss and disturbance payments and preparing the clients to move to their new home.

In this role you will ensure that service delivery complies with Riverside's policies and procedures relating to equality and diversity, also you will e nsure that the Division/Department complies with Health and Safety legislation and other regulatory obligations, assessing risk and putting in place relevant control measures.


Ideally this role require that you have an experience of working with vulnerable client groups and an experience of delivering structured move-on support in either housing or social care.

Role Profile

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED

  • Experience of working with vulnerable client groups.
  • Experience of delivering structured moveon support in either housing or social care.
  • Experience in rehousing vulnerable clients

SUMMARY

  • Supporting individuals in finding a new home through Homechoice or accredited landlords.
  • Supporting individuals to arrange moving to their new home.
  • Working with Asset Services to ensure clients successfully claim their homeloss and disturbance payments.
  • The delivery of individual, positive outcomefocused support packages to clients of Riverside's supported scheme, Solent Court, Reading.
  • Ensuring that the support service promotes empowerment and independence.
  • To be part of a staff team that is committed to 'best practice' in the social housing field.
  • Maintain a high level of specialised knowledge surrounding the specialism/s and client groups with the service.
  • Working with Care and Support & Asset Services to ensure clients with specialist support needs are supported to the highest relevant standards and approaches.
  • Supporting colleagues to understand the latest developments in the field.

KEY TASKS
**Strategy and Service Development

  • Delivering a 'best practice' support service, appropriate to clients' needs.
  • Ensuring the delivery of individual personalised support packages, reflective of different client needs, including culture and diversity issues.
  • Providing practical support and information to clients, e.g., assisting clients in placing bids through Homechoice, liaising with council accredited landlords, accompanying clients on viewings of potential new homes, the completion of tenancy agreements, welfare benefit claims, claiming homeloss and disturbance payments and preparing the clients to move to their new home.
  • Assisting clients with daytoday tenancy issues, payment of rent, claiming benefits, preparing for their move.
  • Knowledge of 'best practice' in both crisis intervention and planned support working.
  • Undertaking assessments of the clients, working with them to identify the most appropriate housing solution for their needs.
  • Ensuring clients have access to relevant external support services.
  • Working with clients to agree and set goals and actions regarding resettlement.
  • Meeting clearly defined resettlement targets through customer engagement, support plans, risk assessments and other interventions.
  • Promote and encourage a high level of client involvement, consultation and communication.
  • Maintaining an accurate and timely record of all activities including the maintenance of a support planning database.
