Are you an experienced compliance associate (with a background in mortgage / protection insurance compliance) who is looking for a new job? Somewhere a bit different? We're working with a Cardiff based, rapid growth digital mortgage broker, who are disrupting the mortgage market, and finding ways to make the homebuying journey more approachable and understandable for all.

They want someone who will focus on oversight of advice given and in return offer great developmental opportunities to get involved within the wider strategic initiatives across the business.

Position:
Compliance Associate

Salary:
£35,000 pa

Location:
Cardiff with opportunity to work on a hybrid basis - 2 days in the office per week

Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm with no weekend working

So what does the Mortgage Compliance Associate role involve?
You'll join a close-knit team of people where you'll immediately make an impact, in this fast paced FinTech Mortgage Compliance role

Responsibilities will include:

Undertake regular Quality Assurance checks on adviser files (mortgage and protection).
Maintain management information, provide feedback to Mortgage Team Managers on findings and maintain tracking of actions
Identify key areas for improvement, complete trend analysis and provide ad hoc training to Mortgage Team as required
Provide induction training to new starters on the compliance requirements in the Quality Assurance checks
Assistance and coordination of regulatory reporting
Support delivery of firm wide Compliance Training
Excellent understanding of mortgage advice and protection advice regulatory requirements
FCA (MCOB and ICOB) handbook knowledge
Ability to learn quickly and a cando attitude.
Must be a selfstarter who is able to prioritise work and be proactive.
CeMap qualification is desirable
