The opportunity:

We are currently recruiting for a General Ledger Assistant to join the Swansway Family.

Reporting to the Dealership Accountant, you will work alongside the Accounts Assistant supporting the Accounts function across our Audi North dealerships.

The role will be based at Blackburn Audi.


As a General Ledger Clerk you will be responsible for maintaining the Purchase and Sales Ledgers, in line with the company policies and procedures.


More about the role:


  • Purchase Ledger duties to include registering, coding & passing purchase invoices, reconciling supplier statements and processing supplier payment runs.
  • Sales ledger credit control on both the Vehicle & Aftersales ledgers. Ensuring all receipts are posted & allocated in a timely manner.
  • Petty Cash reconciliations & postings.
  • Assisting with bank reconciliations as requested.
  • Participating in month and year end tasks as required, and ensuring deadlines are met.
