The Business Support Services Branch provides a wide range of specialist support to GMP in order to enable the Force to provide the best possible service to the public of Greater Manchester.

The Branch is based at the Openshaw Complex, but also has teams at Nexus House, Force HQ and front-line support staff across the whole of GMP.


To provide a local van delivery and collection service, in line with prescribed performance standards, throughout Greater Manchester Police Force Area.

This role provides a vital link between Logistic Services, Front Line Policeing and the Crown Prosecution Service.


It is essential that you have worked as a driver in a large-scale organisation with a complex fleet, the role is customer facing requiring you to demonstrate excellent customer service skills.

The role involves the completion of numerous compliance checks relating to the movement of evidence and therefore requires you to be capable of recording and checking documents correctly by paying attention to detail to ensure service delivery standards are met and maintained.

You must be licensed to drive cars and vans. You will be required to complete a GMP Driving Assessment prior to appointment for this post.
