_6-month fixed term contract role_


Our fastest growing team is looking for a contractor to join them for the next 6 months Beacon is our flagship data product that provides unrivaled clinical trial and drug insights to the biopharma community.

We believe that niche, tailored product offerings that respond to the specific needs of scientific communities provide us with a clear point of differentiation versus generic data providers.


About the role:


As a Quality Control Contractor in Beacon, you will be responsible for quality assessing scientific content which is carefully curated to create new Beacon data products for the Biopharma community.

Joining this rapidly scaling business will require a keen eye for detail and a continuous improvement mindset.

You will be responsible for reviewing a high volume of information related to clinical trials and drug development, and monitoring accuracy rates to support the release of high-quality products.


You will:


  • Conducting rigorous and systematic quality checks of scientific content which has been manually curated from source material such as scientific publications and press releases
  • Reviewing individual database records for accuracy and compliance with relevant guidelines
  • Reviewing large datasets for accuracy and consistency
  • Undertaking sampling to ensure exhaustiveness and compliance of supporting processes
  • Implementing corrections in an appropriate manner
  • Providing detailed qualitative and quantitative feedback based on quality checks
  • Undertaking root cause for data quality errors to support the development of longterm preventative solutions
  • Monitor, analyse and report on data quality metrics as required by the above

About you:


  • Familiarity with scientific literature such as journal publications. Experience with drug development and clinical trials is a bonus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and high delivery standards
  • Ability to work independently within defined project frameworks
  • Strong organisation skills and proactive nature
  • Ability to pick up new concepts quickly

    Salary: £28,000 pro rata_
