Ramboll invites you to bring your experience in environmental and health & safety (EHS) and environmental, social, governance (ESG) due diligence, as you join our thriving and dynamic compliance, transactions and strategy advisory team, working on international EHS and ESG due diligence projects.


To succeed in this role, you must have an expert understanding and a demonstrable both commercial and technical track record of due diligence projects for a wide range of financial, industrial and legal clients.

You would be a proven technical leader of EHS and ESG assessments in a due diligence context, have developed expert understanding of M&A deal mechanics and key buy-side and sell-side considerations and have detailed knowledge of key environmental (and preferably some safety) UK and European regulations, and the development of M&A DD practice and associated implications for financial and industrial clients.

You will have the responsibility for significantly impacting the growth of the EHS / ESG due diligence service through your focus on identifying and developing client relationships and taking a proactive approach towards thought leadership.

You will join our Compliance, Strategy & Transactions (CST) department

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

  • Contribute to implementation of the due diligence business development plan through delivery of our commitment to be a recognised top provider for EHS and ESG due diligence in the Private Equity and Legal community by 202
  • Proactively engage with existing, as well as identify new strategic and high-profile clients to build trusted relationships, and leverage diligence opportunities, which align with Ramboll's strategic ambitions to be The Partner for Sustainable Change, and our CST 2025 Plan for Sustainable Growth.
  • Lead in representing Ramboll's diligence services to external stakeholders, including sector forums and external presentations, demonstrating Ramboll's capabilities, market knowledge and insight.
  • Provide technical and commercial leadership on diligence opportunities and projects (often involving multisite portfolios and multiperson project teams locally, nationally, and globally) by proactively identifying, managing, mitigating, and responding to business risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure that Ramboll's due diligence products are innovative, consider market developments, are technically accurate and meet client requirements.
  • Support the development of the due diligence team through creating, influencing, and sharing knowledge, insight and experience through collaboration, participation, sharing of expertise.
  • Contribute positively to the financial performance of the due diligence team through winning and delivering projects.

  • Deep understanding of adversarial nature of business transactions to successfully identify and work on resolution of commercial risk faced by Ramboll on these projects.
