Major Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Multi Skilled Operative for their client who is a multinational building materials company

Hours of work - 48 hours per week contract (Mon-Sat)

Location - Birmingham

Job purpose:

To support the Plant Manager with the running of a busy Asphalt plant. Ensuring H&S is prioritized whilst ensuring the production needs of our customers are met

Duties:

Reporting to the Plant Manager, key tasks will include:

Weighbridge
Day to Day Operations
Operation of Coating Plant producing asphalt in accordance with technical quality standards
Operation of the loading shovel
General maintenance and housekeeping tasks around the site
Complying with all Company Health, Safety & Environmental systems, and reporting procedures

Person Specification:

Experience working in a coating or similar production environment preferred
A good understanding of industry Health, Safety and Environmental standards
Good communication skills and teamwork are required
NVQ Wheeled Loader licence an advantage though full training package would be given to the successful applicant
Flexible, reliable, and enthusiastic
Ability to work within an extremely busy team environment
Fitting skills / Mechanical experience would be an advantage
