Purpose of the role
Provide a professional and consistent level of service to internal customers and to our external supply base. To manage stock movements within the business to ensure stock is available when required.


Specific responsibilities


Manage the goods In and material handlers to ensure that stock is delivered to line in a timely manner and stock is located correctly.

Brief the teams at the beginning of each shift and ensure, handover and key activities are completed.

Ensure that stock is managed in line with production plan and stock is available

Accurate entry of data and maintaining paperwork and data are correctly updated.


Understand the realease or works orders and how they effect the plan ensuring that only parts needed are being released.

Performing Cycle Counts/Re-Counts/Audit Counts as required by the business

Fully investigate and report accurately all short shipments/discrepancies
Ensuring any stock issues and anomalies are flagged and addressed accordingly
Identify and escalate any potential operational risk Investigate and improve stock accuracy and order discrepancies
Ensure order and stock discrepancies are dealt with in a timely manner and escalated where appropriate
Ensure goods In deliveries are received are booked in a timely Manner

Compiling inventory reports as required.
Encourage continuous improvement to become part of operational daily activity
Ensure that NCR material is removed form system quickly and liaise with relevant departments to get returned.

Understand tooling requirements and liaise with Man Techs on requirements needed for production.


Experience

  • Experience with MRP systems
  • Experience of working in a stock/inventory team essential
  • Previous manufacturing and stock control experience is required
