ABOUT THE ROLE.
We have ambitious growth business plans at McCain, but we can't achieve those without our people.

Our HR team play a huge part in driving our winning culture and it's the role of our HR Specialist to get under the skin of the people behind the potatoes.


Working as part of a wider HR team you will support and oversee the day-to-day HR Employee Life Cycle Processes across our demanding Scarborough and Hull Manufacturing Plants as well as our Head Office departments across several different business areas.

This will include

  • Working in partnership with People leaders to drive a continuous improvement mindset to enable the everyday engagement of their teams
  • Overseeing and advising People Leaders and Employees with Employee and Labor relations issues including overseeing the employee absence process
  • Managing talent and succession with a strong focus on attracting, recruiting, and selecting the best talent
  • Working in partnership with the HRBP's and our leader to be an ambassador of driving diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Supporting regional implementation of CoEdriven processes, policies, and initiatives.
  • Analysing the data available through our Global Employee Self Service Support Platform (HRNow/ServiceNow), to identify trends and take insight driven actions. Whilst striving to continually improve the content to enhance the employee experience.
  • Reviewing and supporting the development of our HR Procedures, to ensure compliance with legislative updates and best practice changes. Whilst playing a key role in the coordination of the HR aspects in Audits.

ABOUT YOU.


As well as a breadth of HR experience working in a fast-paced environment you'll also have experience of managing people priorities across multiple sites and business areas.

We're looking for a CIPD level 5 qualified HR professional or equivalent as well as...

  • Comprehensive HR policy and process knowledge
  • Extensive Employee Relations experience with strong knowledge of employmentrelated laws and regulations
  • Strong ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with impact and handle confidential information
  • Proven teamwork capabilities; strong relationship management and interpersonal skills
  • Strong business acumen coupled with project management and analytical skills
  • HR Project delivery with a Continuous Improvement Mindset
  • Working knowledge of HR systems, particularly SuccessFactors and Service Now

WHERE WILL I WORK?


You will mostly be based in our Whittlesey Plant however you will also cover our Grantham and Wombourne plant, splitting your time across the three plants as the business demands.

We also recognise that being in the office every single day is a thing of the past.
