Buyer

The Role

  • Monitor prices and stock levels and liaise with relevant personnel
  • Develop and maintain relationships with both new and existing suppliers
  • Negotiate prices and lead times with suppliers
  • Chase up with suppliers on any late deliveries
  • Monitor stock levels and adjust when necessary
  • Liaise with stores department daily
  • Ensure prices agreed with suppliers match invoices
  • Attend production meetings and advise on any issues regarding to stock
  • Monitor supplier performance and update manager of any issues that arise

Essential Criteria

  • A minimum of 1 years experience in a Buyer role
  • Excellent telephone skills
  • Ability to negotiate with suppliers
  • Career driven and willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • Excellent problemsolving skills
