Buyer
The Role
- Monitor prices and stock levels and liaise with relevant personnel
- Develop and maintain relationships with both new and existing suppliers
- Negotiate prices and lead times with suppliers
- Chase up with suppliers on any late deliveries
- Monitor stock levels and adjust when necessary
- Liaise with stores department daily
- Ensure prices agreed with suppliers match invoices
- Attend production meetings and advise on any issues regarding to stock
- Monitor supplier performance and update manager of any issues that arise
Essential Criteria
- A minimum of 1 years experience in a Buyer role
- Excellent telephone skills
- Ability to negotiate with suppliers
- Career driven and willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Excellent problemsolving skills
