Due to a promotion a wonderful opportunity has arisen for a new Head of Profession for Occupational Therapy to provide strategic, professional and clinical leadership across Oxleas whilst retaining an active clinical caseload.

The post holder will represent Occupational Therapists at senior management level and the Allied Health Professions (AHP) Board, chair the Directorate Lead Occupational Therapy group and training panel ensuring representation at a strategic level in the organisation.

In addition to this be the single point of contact for the profession representing Oxleas with Health Education England, South London Partnership, Higher Education Institutions, NHS England & Improvement, South East London Integrated Care System, Royal College of Occupational Therapists and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).


The post holder will be responsible for leading on service delivery and clinical supervision of junior colleagues ensuring clinical governance with safe, responsive and effective specialist occupational therapy clinical interventions.

As Head of Profession for Occupational Therapy the post holder will lead on workforce transformation programmes in Apprenticeships, Preceptorships, Clinical Placement Expansion, Return to Practice, International Recruitment and OT Support Workforce Development.

In addition will deputise for the Trust Lead for Allied Health Professionals, as appropriate.
