Business & Commercial Banking (BCB) provides a diverse range of products and services to its customers. The customers in these market segments are demanding and expect a significant level of expertise from the business. BCB and specifically Merchant Services has received significant investment under the Group Strategic Review demonstrating its strategic importance


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and ambitious colleague to join our Merchant Services - Pricing, Performance & Analytics Team, to help with the strategy and achieve the growth aspirations within the overall Cardnet Business and as part of the Merchant Services Growth Acceleration Programme.


Job Description:


As a Pricing Associate, you'll work closely with Cardnet sales and relationship management teams to help advise and support them in their engagement with merchants on pricing.

You'll assist the overall team in delivering strategic pricing and performance initiatives including our annual pricing reviews.

You'll help to shape the future of pricing for the new Merchant Services proposition.

Engagement will be required across a wide range of partners in product, risk, and coverage across BCB, along with our central Delivery colleagues and joint venture partner, Fiserv.


Responsibilities include:

  • Analyse and respond to daytoday merchant pricing proposals
  • Reprice analysis and execution
  • Assist the team with ongoing management of the Cardnet Pricing framework and execute pricing controls
  • Oversee merchant price monitoring (loss makers, etc.) actioning where required
  • Sales/RM engagement and pricing training as required
  • Support ad hoc merchant queries and rectifications
What are we looking for

Essential skills- Ability to think laterally, take initiative and develop and recommend solutions- Financial analysis skills and commercial acumen- Adept at excel and technologically savvy (Analytics a plus)- Organised and methodical in approach- Good understanding of merchant services market and pricing- Excellent communication skills and customer service oriented- Delivery focused and adept at partner management- Previous sales experience preferred
