Glenevin Construction Ltd has been developing and maintaining infrastructure across the UK since our formation in 2013. We specialise in Utilities (Power, Telecoms, etc), Civil Engineering, Traffic Management, and infrastructure. We have grown our business on a foundation of expertise, teamwork, and excellent customer service.


The Storeperson is an important link for our Company and our Supply Chain function, by maintaining standards of supplies to our internal customers (Sub-contractors).

Our sub-contractors rely on our stock accuracy to ensure that our Build Plan runs efficiently and as such our approach to our stores activity is focused on making good internal decisions and promoting accuracy from our team at all times.

The Storeperson is responsible for ensuring that our yard area is clean and tidy at all times. Assisting with the movement and counting of stock. Loading and Unloading vehicles. Ensuring that Health and Safety procedures are adhered to at all times.


Main purpose of job:


  • Loading and unloading vehicles
  • Stock control of all Yard stocks, Waste Management, dispensing and recording Diesel and
  • Gas Cylinder Stock
  • Maintenance of Barriers and Road Signage
  • Yard housekeeping and organisation
  • Clear sites of barriers, signs and any surplus materials and ensuring their return to the relevant depot.
  • Transferring and delivering materials between sites.
  • Keeping records to ensure accurate stock levels are maintained and brought to gangs.
  • Following approved company policies and procedures

Main requirements of job:


  • Current Counterbalance Forklift licence essential
  • Telehandler experience essential
  • Reach Truck, and working at heights essential
  • Knowledge of building, civils materials desirable
  • Health and Safety awareness essential
  • Selfmotivated, ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Good level of fitness


  • IT Literate

  • Excel and experience of ERP systems desirable

Main tasks of the job:


  • Loading, unloading and order picking
  • Issuing stocks from Stores and Yard area
  • Ensuring that all Yard and Stores stocks are recorded
  • Loading and unloading supplier vehicles
  • Moving and arranging stock both manually and using FLT ad Telehandler

Stock Control and Waste Management

  • Rotating stock
  • Manage stock efficiently
  • Waste management and recycling where possible and keeping this area tidy at all times.

Housekeeping

  • Proactively maintain a high standard of general housekeeping

Health and Safety

  • Comply with health & safety procedures at all times
  • Report to the Build Manager any unlawful behaviour or hazards
  • Maintaining a high standard of general housekeeping

Hours

  • 45 hours per week
  • 7am 5pm (1x hour unpaid lunch)
