Fixed term until 27th February 2026

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join NHS Fife's Medical Education team.

We are looking for an experienced administrator to work alongside the existing undergraduate team to work on both existing and new medical school programmes, namely ScotCOM.

The department currently coordinates student placements from the universities of Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, St Andrews and the postgraduate programme ScotGEM.

You will predominantly work supporting the teaching programmes in a community setting.

You should have the ability to use their own initiative.

You must also be professional in their approach at all times, along with possessing excellent organisational and communication skills as well as a flexible approach to working.

Experience of working on a new project would be advantageous.

Provisional interview date: 11th July 2024.

Applications on a secondment basis will be considered providing you have prior agreement from your current line manager

NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.

This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.

However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Recruiting Board.
