Position:


This is an exciting opportunity to join our Broker Product team, where you will be responsible for representation of product/feature within the Scrum Team, driving the delivery management of product implementation.


Your key responsibilities

  • Provide vision and voice of the customer advocacy for each product/feature
  • Collaborate with and support of other business teams to drive customer advocacy
  • Manage a product backlog for a dedicated feature area
  • Work with the scrum team to refine backlog items and plan individual sprints
  • Lead requirements gathering within the Scrum Team
  • Attend scrum ceremonies
  • Document new features
  • Record and respond to feedback
  • Work closely with the scrum team to ensure all impediments are identified, recorded and removed.
  • Manage stakeholder communication
  • Understand and participate in the estimation process
  • Support non tech teams within the business
  • Work with the marketing function to ensure coverage and awareness of product is maximized
  • Negotiate priorities with stakeholders to ensure that deliverables are progressed to a high level of quality
  • Train and mentor colleagues

Requirements:


What you'll need to succeed

Qualifications

  • Certified Agile Product Owner (preferred)
  • Chartered Insurance Institute Qualifications (or working towards) would be advantageous. Alternatively, being able to demonstrate a high level of industry knowledge

Experience

  • Adaptive and strong team player
  • Excellent customer relationship and negotiation abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Experience of working in pressured environment to strict deadlines
  • Experience with DevOps or JIRA
  • Knowledge of Agile
Advantageous

  • Product Owner experience in Agile B2B SWH
  • Previous involvement in the design of insurance products.
  • Willingness to work outside of core working hours to achieve objectives and tasks
  • Experience of working with IT systems in a Broking/Insurance environment
  • Good standard of MS Word and MS Excel (advantage)
