A global creative Agency (specialising in beauty, photo and film) are recruiting for a production accountant

A Production Accountant is responsible for ensuring that production expenses are managed within budget and that all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.

Their duties include:

Budgeting and Forecasting:

Work with the agents and producers to manage production budgets, including tracking expenses throughout the production process.
Provide regular reports to the agents and producers, including variance analysis, project costing and reconciliation.
Ensure that all production expenses are properly accounted for and allocated to the correct budget categories.

Accounting and Reporting:

Oversee the processing of invoices, purchase orders, and other financial transactions related to production activities.
Ensure that all project related financial records are accurate and uptodate, including managing cash flow, reconciling accounts, and tracking expenses against budget.
Prepare and distribute financial reports, including cost reports, production cost statements, and reconciliation reports.
Creation of reconciliation statements for each project and working with agents and producers to reconcile jobs on a timely basis
To assist in the preparation of management information for financial reporting purposes
Ad hoc financial reports and administration duties as required by Production Senior Management and Finance

Artist statements and disbursements:

Prepare and distribute artist statements to agents for approval, and send to artists once approved
Point of contact for artists for any statement related queries
Process artist advances and monthly disbursements.

Communication and Collaboration:

Work closely with the agents and producers to ensure that all transactions are processed and projects are completed in a timely and accurate manner.

Requirements:

This role requires financial expertise, attention to detail, and strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with agents, producers, other stakeholders, and external partners.
1+ years' experience working as a Production Accountant or similar role
Experience in the Media sector is preferential
Selfstarter and great at working independently as well as within a team
