What you will do:
- Support a COO Risk Manager in the development, implementation and continuous
- Maintain strong relationships across the Operational teams by ensuring that all colleagues receive appropriate support and oversight helping them to identify, report and monitor their key nonfinancial risk exposures
- Support the implementation of a proactive risk culture across Operations teams
- Assist in risk events and incidents by ensuring timely capture, escalation, management and reporting
- Work with Operations teams to review and update risk and control assessments in line with risk management framework and agreed COO RCSA plan
- Assist in action management relating to risk issues and monitoring them through to completion
- Support the Operations teams in identifying opportunities or process enhancements
- Assist in the monitoring of Operations teams performance against agreed risk appetite including reporting of breaches and monitoring of acceptance and exceptions to policy
- Undertake execution of control assurance testing in Operations and challenging AMAZEING Controls outputs
- Assist in reporting and monitoring of Operation's risk profile and control environment and producing targeted analysis of operational, risk and control data to identify and report emerging risk exposures

What you will need:
- Understand the risks associated with your job and what that means for you, Metro Bank and all our stakeholders
- Experience of risk and control processes including risk and control selfassessment, issue management, incident and event reporting procedures
- Understanding of the regulatory and legislative requirements and industry practice for risk in a retail banking environment
- Experience of supporting the implementation of controls
- Strong problem solving skills and a great eye for detail
- Knowledge and understanding of payments and payment operations is preferred but not essential
