Approved Mental Health Practitioner - North-Lincolnshire Council - Up to £38ph

  • This position is for an AMHP only.
  • Agency AMHPs in North Lincolnshire are not required to carry out the Senior Social Work role as we generally employ them to support with filling ad hoc gaps on our AMHP rota.
  • Shifts will primarily be on call from as and when required
  • On occasions, we will require a day shift to be covered although this is very rare
  • It is to be noted that in North Lincolnshire, AMHPs only complete Mental Health Act work out of hours.
  • To work as an AMHP on an ad hoc basis, covering gaps on the AMHP rota as required
  • To respond to all referrals for Mental Health Act assessments.
  • Sound decision making skills
  • Assessments to be completed in a professional manner and alternatives to detention/admission to be used where appropriate.
  • Records to be updated and comprehensive AMHP reports to be completed in a timely manner
  • To work closely with the AMHP team at North Lincolnshire around handover of cases
