Description

Do you have the desire to work in costume maintenance?and/or wardrobe?support?in a theatre environment? Do you work well within a?busy?team? Are you reliable?
We are looking for a Wardrobe Technician to join the Running Wardrobe team.

The role is offered as a full time, fixed term position, for up to a year, based in Stratford upon Avon.

It is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience from a well-establishedand dedicated team as we prepare for our upcoming season.


In the role you will report to the Head of Running Wardrobe and will be involved in all aspects of Running Wardrobe, including costume maintenance, laundry, and performance calls.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring that costume requirements and dressing needs are met efficiently and flexibly
  • Assisting actors with their costumes in technical rehearsals and performances
  • Performing all preshow costume and laundry checks, ensuring that costumes are correctly set in dressing rooms and quickchange areas
  • To write up and maintain clear and concise notes of all the costumes allocated to you. These notes will consist of _(a)_ costume plot, _(b)_ preset notes, _(c)_ daily laundry and _(d)_ notes enabling casuals or

To be suitable for the role, you will:

  • Have basic experience in dressing and managing theatre costume needs for a range of artists
  • Have a basic understanding of Costume Maintenance and Costumerelated disciplines
  • Be organised and able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Communicate effectively with others and work well in a team


The role is offered as full time, fixed term position, for up to one year, based in Stratford upon Avon.
