About this role

Diageo Global Procurement is accountable for the Procurement of Supply, Demand and Indirect categories.

The vision of the Procurement function is to "Boldly drive improved operating margin and competitive advantage by leading cost consciousness and best in class procurement through a successful organisation." This includes delivery of significant savings, great supplier management, taking category strategy planning to the next level, enabling required shifts in approach to maximise the effectiveness of suppliers, and harnessing the full spectrum of opportunities.


You'll be responsible for supporting the Global Procurement by leading on the key analytics and data initiatives across the business function.

The role holder acts as the knowledge base for the Global Procurement team.

They are responsible for ensuring smooth data processes in our core systems and playing a key role in digitalizing our ways of working.

They centralize, visualize and analyse data with the latest tools for Procurement.

You will also undertake data automation and broader analysis to investigate and generate recommendations on a range of critical input for Procurement such as spend analysis, internal and external benchmarking, should cost and inflation models.


The successful applicant will work in very close partnership with the Global and Market Category Procurement teams as an integral part of the One Procurement Community but also multi-functional with our Digital and Technology and Global Business Operations teams.

You'll have specific responsibility for partnering with external vendors to drive forward key analytical developments across Procurement.

It will be seen as a source of knowledge into the data processes and datasets used by the category team for their strategies, supplier onboarding and spend analysis.

About you

Having a good knowledge of written and numerical analysis to provide business insights is essential for this role

Highly analytical, with strong user experience working with Excel (ideally PowerPivot, Macros), database solutions (ideally Access and SQL), BI solutions (ideally Power BI or Qlik,) and ERPs (ideally SAP) in a multinational business environment is sought after

You'll be highly analytical with experience in data modelling and insights delivery from fragmented data sources

Experience in communicating with impact, challenging to influence, making impactful presentation and working remotely with different cultures and complex partner groups is a key skill that will help you flourish in this position
