The Role

As a Warehouse Operative at Briants, you will be working in the yard and warehouse, and be the first and last point of contact for customers visiting the branch, so you play a huge part in delivering a fantastic customer experience."

About you
You'll need to be someone who isn't afraid of hard work and is a team player.

The yard / warehouse is one of the busiest areas of the branch so you would need to be willing to work under pressure to ensure customers are served in an efficient and friendly manner.

A forklift truck licence is essential for this role.

Key Accountabilities...

  • Goods In procedures
  • Accurately checking off stock against delivery notes, raising queries on shortages with the office.
  • Tidily locating stock.
  • Ensuring Stock rotation of machines so older serial numbers go out first.
  • Basic assembling of garden machinery from supplier packaging showroom floor.
  • Handover of garden machinery
  • Full training given on fuelling and start of machines for customers who purchase machinery from us.
  • Picking of stock for machinery orders via showroom or website.
  • Occasional deliveries of machinery to customers.
  • Maintaining a tidy & safe working environment.
  • Experience in retailing or warehousing of power tools or garden machinery is ideal.
  • Being the point of contact for any customer questions regarding machinery.
  • Prepare customer orders, load and unload customer and supplier vehicles using a Forklift Truck to minimise manual handling (training will be provided)
  • Ensure that stock is replenished, rotated and merchandised
  • Maintain the yard to a high standard of tidiness and cleanliness to make a great first impression on our customers.
  • Build rapport, be polite and courteous to customers
  • Be vigilant to prevent loss of product by theft
  • Maintain Health & Safety

Previous Warehouse experience in a builders merchants (essential)_**:


  • _ Forklift experience would be ideal_

What you will get in return...

  • Salary PS26,000
  • PS28,000 depending on experience.
