Trainee Photographer to Tempest Military
Location:
Pirbright, Surrey
Starting salary:
£19,000.00, Increasing by further £850.00 per annum after the six-month probationary period and as you develop in the role.
An exciting opportunity to assist a small team of professional photographers in the Pirbright/ Sandhurst area.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and efficient Trainee Photographer to provide support to our photographers at the Army Training Centre (ATC) Pirbright and the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS).
The accuracy of this recorded information is paramount, as these details will be featured on the finished presentations.
Additionally, the role will entail:
- Photographing of groups and individuals using digital cameras at ATC Pirbright, RMA Sandhurst and across the country
- Small to medium group photographs with our 3lift staging
- Studio photography, ranging from children all the way through to grandparents
- Assisting other photographers
- Creating bespoke artwork using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Facetoface sales at various locations within the UK
- General administrative duties articulacy, arithmetic, writing & computer skills are therefore essential
Training will be provided on all aspects of the job including studio and location photography.

The company's head office and productionfacility is based near the picturesque town of St Ives in Cornwall and is staffed by up to 200 employees.
In addition, the company employs around 250 photographers throughout the UK.Our work for the Military market is largely conducted via our permanent satellite offices in Surrey.
- Strong photographic skills, working and photographing with a digital camera
- Flexibility in working times as early starts/late finishes may be necessary during termtime
- Good standard of basic fitness: There will be physical work involved when carrying photographic equipment from
- Full clean Driving License
- Strong computer skills (specifically in the use of MS Word and Excel, as well as Adobe design software such as Illustrator and Photoshop)
- Working with a dedicated team of professional photographers based in a historic military establishment
