Job Overview:
As an Unqualified Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with team of experienced educators to support the learning and welfare of students within the classroom.
Your role will be instrumental in creating a positive and conducive learning atmosphere, enabling each child to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with teachers to assist in planning and delivering engaging lesson activities.
- Provide oneonone or small group support to students who may require additional assistance in understanding the material.
- Monitor and maintain classroom discipline, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment.
- Help with classroom preparations, including organising materials and setting up resources for lessons.
- Support students with their social and emotional development, promoting positive behaviour and values.
- Assist in classroom assessment and recordkeeping as required by the teaching staff.
- Participate in extracurricular activities, school events, and educational outings.
- Support students with additional needs.
Requirements:
- A genuine passion for working with children and helping them thrive academically and emotionally.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to build positive relationships with both students and staff.
- High levels of patience, empathy, and adaptability to cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Although formal qualifications are not essential, some experience in a childfocused environment is preferred.
