  • Managing a team of - Ensuring the timely and accurate processing of a 2000+ employee payroll.
  • Salary to £43k, Bonus Scheme, Excellent Benefits, 2 Days Office, 2 Days home.

Outstanding Group Payroll Manager opportunity with one of the UKs largest, privately-owned Fast Track businesses (a £300m t/o FMCG Group).

In this new role - created due to company organic and acquisitive growth - you will join a friendly and collaborativeteam in prestigious offices in the heart of Liverpool city centre (with parking provided).

Managing 2 Payroll Controllers in a hands-on role, where you will be responsible for processing the payroll for some of the Group's subsidiaries, with your remit being to provide an optimum Group Payroll service complying with employment and payroll legislationand internal procedures


Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the payroll function, ensuring the timely and accurate running of the endtoend payroll process for over 2000 employees
  • Ensuring the monthly payroll is delivered to all employees in line with contractual obligations and financial requirements.
  • Key point of contact for any pay related enquiries.
  • Working with CHRIS21 (Frontier)
  • An integrated People and Payroll system.
  • Accurate inputting of all statutory payments.
  • Processing system changes including starters, leavers and other amendments to employee data in compliance with policy and payroll requirements.
  • Accurately prepare calculations for salary advances for subsidiaries as and when required.
  • Completion of month end and yearend reconciliations and submissions for allocated payrolls, including full payment submissions to HMRC.
  • Responsible for ensuring all 3rd party payment submissions and ensure they are completed in line with laid down timescales.
  • Processing of relevant Inland Revenue forms including P45, 60 etc.
  • Administration of the company pension schemes for specific subsidiary payrolls and ensuring all payrolls comply with pension regulations.
  • Providing ad hoc payroll reports as requested.
  • Ensuring all relevant information is provided to Auditors during annual audit process.
  • Keeping up to date with new payroll legislations and best practice methodology.
  • Design, collate & analyse regular payroll KPI's.
  • Manage the working relationship between the Group Payroll team and site People teams, as the key contact for People Managers.
  • Ongoing development of best practice Payroll controls and processes.

Applicants will preferably be Part or Fully Qualified CIPP, although relevant Payroll and Staff Management experience is considered more important.

You will have excellent communication skills and the gravitas and personality to forge strong business partnerrelationships across all levels of the business.
